Description
This garlic shrimp pasta is quick, flavorful, and ready in just 20 minutes. Tossed with a buttery lemon-garlic sauce, juicy shrimp, and fresh parsley, it’s the perfect weeknight dinner that feels restaurant-worthy without the fuss.
Ingredients
8 oz spaghetti or linguine (or pasta of choice)
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
4–5 cloves garlic, minced
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
½ tsp salt (plus more for pasta water)
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
Juice of ½ a lemon
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Grated Parmesan, for serving (optional)
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Transfer shrimp to a plate.
Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Deglaze with white wine (or broth), scraping up browned bits. Let simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly reduced.
Stir in lemon juice and butter until melted and glossy. Return shrimp to skillet.
Add drained pasta and toss to coat, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
Sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan before serving hot.
