Description

Experience the whimsical delight of Grinch Hot Chocolate, a festive beverage that combines rich chocolate, creamy textures, and a hint of sweetness for a cozy treat this season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Whole Milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cup White Chocolate Chips (or dark chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar (or maple syrup/stevia)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (or almond extract)
  • A few drops of Green Food Coloring (or spirulina/matcha)
  • Whipped Cream (for topping)
  • Red and Green Sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, pour the milk and heavy cream together. Heat over medium heat and continuously whisk to combine.
  2. Once the mixture is warm but not boiling, add the unsweetened cocoa powder and granulated sugar. Continue to whisk until fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Lower the heat, then gently add the white chocolate chips. Stir until melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and a few drops of green food coloring. Stir until completely blended. Adjust the food coloring until you achieve your desired Grinch-like hue.
  5. Pour your Grinch Hot Chocolate into individual mugs, topping each one generously with whipped cream.
  6. Sprinkle red and green sprinkles or crushed peppermint on top for that flourished festive vibe.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream, or try coconut milk for a vegan-friendly option.
