Instructions
- Prepare the Sushi Rice: Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear, soak for 30 minutes, then cook according to instructions with 2 cups of water.
- Season the Rice: Transfer cooked rice to a bowl and gently fold in a mixture of rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
- Prepare the Spicy Tuna Mixture: Dice Ahi tuna and mix in mayonnaise, Sriracha, and green onions.
- Form the Crispy Rice Squares: In a skillet, heat oil and press seasoned rice into a flat square, then cut into pieces.
- Fry the Rice: Fry the rice squares until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Assemble the Dish: Top each rice square with spicy tuna mixture, drizzle with sesame oil, and garnish as desired.
Notes
Serve with pickled ginger, wasabi, and consider Greek yogurt as a lower-calorie alternative to mayonnaise.
