Spaghetti Garlic Bread Bowls

Description

A fun and interactive twist on classic spaghetti served in delicious garlic bread bowls.


Ingredients

  • 1 Baguette or Italian Bread
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 8 oz Spaghetti
  • 2 cups Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette lengthwise but do not cut all the way through.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  3. Spread the garlic mixture on the cut sides of the bread.
  4. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Boil salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and return to pot.
  6. Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to the spaghetti; stir until coated.
  7. Carefully fill each garlic bread bowl with the spaghetti mixture.
  8. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

For a healthier option, use whole wheat pasta or consider cauliflower bread bowls for a low-carb twist.
