Description

A delightful and easy cheese bread recipe that combines melted cheese with soft, warm bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk (whole, skim, or almond)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (or olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well-blended.
  3. Add the shredded cheese to the dry mixture, reserving a small handful for the top if desired.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until creamy and well combined.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle reserved cheese on top if desired.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve warm.
