Description

A classic and comforting Chicken Parmesan recipe featuring perfectly breaded chicken, rich marinara sauce, and gooey cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 large Eggs, beaten
  • 1 ½ cups Breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • Fresh Basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper. Pound to ½ inch thickness.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish, place chicken on top, cover with sauce, and sprinkle with Parmesan and mozzarella.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbling. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for crispy topping.
  7. Let rest, garnish with fresh basil, and serve.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using whole wheat breadcrumbs and low-fat cheese. This dish can also be served over pasta, on a salad, or as a sandwich.
