Description

A delicious chocolate croissant breakfast bake that combines flaky layers and rich chocolate, perfect for busy mornings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chocolate croissants, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut your chocolate croissants into bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  4. Gently fold the croissant pieces into the egg mixture and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  5. Grease a baking dish (about 9×13 inches) and pour the croissant mixture into it, spreading evenly.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute unsweetened applesauce for butter. For a vegan alternative, use flaxseed meal mixed with water instead of eggs.
