- 4 chocolate croissants, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut your chocolate croissants into bite-sized cubes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Gently fold the croissant pieces into the egg mixture and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Grease a baking dish (about 9×13 inches) and pour the croissant mixture into it, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute unsweetened applesauce for butter. For a vegan alternative, use flaxseed meal mixed with water instead of eggs.
