A decadent tart that combines rich dark chocolate with robust espresso in a creamy mascarpone filling over a crunchy graham cracker crust.

- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz dark chocolate (60% cocoa or more)
- 1 tbsp espresso powder
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, blend graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press into a tart pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
- In a heatproof bowl, combine dark chocolate and butter. Melt over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Stir in espresso powder and vanilla extract.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. In another bowl, blend mascarpone and cooled chocolate mixture. Gently fold in whipped cream.
- Pour mascarpone filling into cooled crust and smooth. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
For a different flavor profile, substitute graham cracker crust with digestive biscuits. Use coconut cream for a dairy-free alternative.
