Description

Delight guests with a Christmas Tree Cheese Ball an easy festive dip recipe that tastes amazing and looks stunning on the table at parties

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

  • Instructions

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sour cream and Dijon mustard until smooth, airy, and slightly fluffy. The mixture should be easy to scoop and hold its shape when formed into a tree.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar, chopped parsley, chives, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until everything is evenly distributed and the color looks lively and green in spots.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning. A little extra pepper or a dash more Dijon can brighten the flavor without overpowering the creaminess.
  • Turn the mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Shape into a triangular tree with a pointed top and a wider base. Chill in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes to firm up for clean decorating.
  • Once chilled, unwrap and transfer to a serving platter. Gently press extra parsley onto the surface to mimic pine needles, and pull the edges to refine the tree shape.
  • Decorate with olives (bulbs), radish coins (ornaments), and red pepper strips (garland). Use carrot sticks or pretzel sticks for a trunk if desired.
  • Let the tree sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before guests arrive so it’s easy to slice and scoop. Serve with an assortment of crackers and veggie sticks.
