- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the unsweetened shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, egg whites, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until blended.
- Form the mixture into small mounds or bars and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they are about 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent overbaking.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute egg whites with aquafaba and use a dairy-free condensed milk alternative.
