A high-protein twist on traditional naan made with cottage cheese and garlic, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • Water, as needed

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt to form a shaggy dough.
  2. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into four pieces and roll each into an oval shape, about ¼ inch thick.
  5. Mix olive oil and minced garlic in a small bowl for the garlic butter.
  6. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook each naan for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  7. Brush the cooked naan with garlic butter and serve warm.

Notes

For a nuttier flavor, use whole wheat flour. Can be served with dips or as wraps.
