Instructions

  1. Prepare the tart shell: Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Form the dough: Add cold water gradually, mixing until the dough comes together. Flatten into a disc, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Bake the tart shell: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out dough and fit it into a tart pan. Prick the base with a fork and blind bake for 20 minutes.
