Description
This crispy dill pickle pizza is a tangy, cheesy twist on pizza night! A creamy garlic-dill sauce, gooey mozzarella, sharp Parmesan, and plenty of crunchy pickles come together on a golden, bubbly crust. Perfect for parties, game day, or just a fun dinner at home.
Ingredients
2 pizza dough balls (about 1 lb each)
2 tablespoons cornmeal
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons dried dill
1 tablespoon pickle juice
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1½ cups dill pickle slices, patted dry
Extra dried dill (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C). Place a pizza stone (or upside-down baking sheet) inside to heat.
In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, dried dill, pickle juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Stretch one dough ball into a 12–14 inch round on a lightly floured surface. Sprinkle cornmeal on a peel or baking sheet and transfer the dough.
Spread a thin layer of sauce on the dough. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan, then arrange pickle slices evenly on top.
Bake for 11–13 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove, let cool for 1–2 minutes, then slice and serve. Repeat with second dough ball.
Notes
Pat pickles dry before adding to prevent sogginess.
Don’t overload with sauce—thin is better.
Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven for best texture.
Try variations: swap cheeses, use Greek yogurt for tangier sauce, or try spicy dill pickles.
