Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
