These Apple Roses look like they belong in a fancy bakery window, but they’re surprisingly simple to make at home. With puff pastry, apples, and a touch of cinnamon sugar, you can create a dessert that’s as gorgeous as it is delicious. Perfect for brunches, holidays, or anytime you want to wow your guests.
Ingredients
2–3 medium red apples (like Honeycrisp or Pink Lady), thinly sliced
Juice of ½ lemon
2 cups water
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed2 tablespoons granulated sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons apricot preserves (optional, for glaze)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
Slice apples into thin half-moons. Place in a bowl with lemon juice and water. Microwave for 2–3 minutes until softened. Drain and set aside.
Roll puff pastry into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 6 strips, about 2 inches wide.
Spread apricot preserves over each strip (if using). Mix sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over pastry.

Freeze unbaked roses for up to 1 month; bake straight from frozen, adding 5–7 minutes.
