Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (or Lamb)
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 Carrots, diced
  • 1 cup Corn, drained
  • 34 medium Potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce (or Soy Sauce)
  • Cheese, shredded (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or lamb until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in chopped onion and diced carrots, cooking until soft, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Boil chopped potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with butter and milk.
  6. Spoon the meat mixture into ramekins or a baking dish, topping generously with mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

For a healthier version, swap ground beef for ground turkey and use cauliflower mash instead of potatoes.
