Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (105-110°F)
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (or coconut oil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom (or cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Make a well in the center, add warm milk, yeast, and beaten eggs. Mix until combined.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about 60 minutes or until doubled.
  4. Punch down the dough, divide into 12 equal pieces, shape into balls, and place on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Brush with melted butter after baking for added flavor.
  8. Let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
