Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk (105-110°F)
- 1 packet yeast
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter (or coconut oil)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom (or cinnamon)
Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl. Make a well in the center, add warm milk, yeast, and beaten eggs. Mix until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for about 60 minutes or until doubled.
- Punch down the dough, divide into 12 equal pieces, shape into balls, and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter after baking for added flavor.
- Let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
These rolls can be enjoyed warm with butter, used as sandwich rolls, or even served as a dessert with powdered sugar and fruit preserves.
