- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Remove the butter from heat and stir in granulated sugar. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Grease a heart-shaped brownie pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting them into heart shapes.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, consider using coconut oil instead of butter, and flax eggs in place of regular eggs.
