Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • Buttercream Filling: Powdered sugar, unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and a splash of milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your Twinkie mold or mini loaf pans with butter or oil.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat the eggs and add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared molds, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let them cool in the pans for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. In a medium bowl, cream together unsalted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk for the filling.
  10. Fill each Twinkie with buttercream using a piping bag.
