Description
A flavorful and healthy twist on the classic burger, combining turkey, jalapeños, and cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Ground Turkey (85/15 blend)
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Fresh Basil or Cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by finely chopping the jalapeños and shredding the cheddar cheese.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, jalapeños, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4-6 equal portions and shape into patties, making a small indentation in the center of each.
- Preheat your grill or a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Allow the burgers to rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain juices.
- Serve on toasted buns with desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, or avocado.
Notes
For extra moisture, do not use overly lean turkey. Allow patties to rest before cutting.
