Description

A flavorful and healthy twist on the classic burger, combining turkey, jalapeños, and cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey (85/15 blend)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 Jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Basil or Cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by finely chopping the jalapeños and shredding the cheddar cheese.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, jalapeños, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4-6 equal portions and shape into patties, making a small indentation in the center of each.
  4. Preheat your grill or a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Allow the burgers to rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain juices.
  7. Serve on toasted buns with desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, or avocado.

Notes

For extra moisture, do not use overly lean turkey. Allow patties to rest before cutting.
