Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts – pounded to even thickness for quick, even cooking

1 tsp salt – to season the chicken

2 tbsp olive oil – for searing

3 cloves garlic, minced – fresh for the best flavor

1 cup heavy cream – creates a rich, silky sauce

½ cup chicken broth – adds depth and balances the cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese – freshly grated for smooth melting

½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped – sweet, tangy, and packed with flavor

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning – or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme

Instructions

Season & Sear Chicken – Pat chicken dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and nearly cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Make the Sauce – In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Finish the Dish – Return chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the sauce. Spoon sauce over the chicken and simmer for 5–7 minutes until fully cooked and sauce has thickened to your liking.

Serve & Garnish – Top with fresh basil or parsley. Serve immediately with pasta, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce—pre-shredded can make it grainy.
