- 1 lb Ground Beef (or Pork)
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Coriander
- 1 pinch Cinnamon
- 2 cups Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely diced onion, minced garlic, egg, and spices. Mix gently.
- Form the mixture into uniform balls, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter, and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil over medium heat, then add the meatballs in batches. Cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- In the same skillet, sauté extra garlic and onion, then add tomato sauce and simmer.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs over rice, pasta, or bread.
