Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar (for caramel)
  • 1/4 cup water (for caramel)
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the caramel by combining sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until dissolved, then boil until golden brown.
  2. Grease mini flan molds with non-stick spray or butter.
  3. Carefully pour the caramel into the prepared molds.
  4. Blend sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, semi-sweet chocolate, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture over the caramel in each mold.
  6. Bake molds in a water bath at 350°F (175°C) for 40 minutes.
  7. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
