Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut out heart shapes using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
- Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of half of the cut hearts.
- Top with the remaining pastry hearts, crimp edges with a fork, and brush the tops with egg wash.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool on a wire rack before serving.

For a vegan option, use plant-based butter and substitute the egg wash with a milk alternative.
