- 1 Baguette
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Cheese (Gruyere or Cheddar)
- Vegetables (Spinach, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers)
- Salt and Pepper
- Optional: Cooked Bacon or Ham
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and hollow out the center slightly.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté your chosen vegetables until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- Mix cheese and any cooked bacon or ham with the sautéed vegetables into the egg mixture. Pour this filling into the hollowed baguette halves.
- Place the filled baguette halves on a baking tray and bake for 30-35 minutes, until the egg is set and the top is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
