Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup raspberry puree
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; whisk well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, vanilla extract, and raspberry puree until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into dry ingredients; stir until just combined.
  5. Grease a heart-shaped doughnut pan.
  6. Spoon batter into the pan, filling cavities about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Mix powdered sugar and raspberry puree for glaze until smooth.
  10. Dip the tops of doughnuts in the glaze and let set.
  11. Serve and enjoy fresh.
