Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (regular or gluten-free)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salmon: Finely chop the salmon into tiny, uniform pieces. If using canned salmon, drain it properly.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, green onions, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Form the Patties: Portion the mixture into equal-sized patties and refrigerate for about 10 minutes.
  4. Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Make the Lemon Garlic Sauce: Whisk together fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, and a dash of olive oil in a bowl, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve: Serve the salmon patties hot with lemon garlic sauce on top and a side salad.

Notes

Chill the patties for at least 10 minutes to prevent crumbling while cooking. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
