- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 large Egg
- 1 cup Cabbage, shredded
- 4 strips Bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Stir in the sour cream and then beat in the egg until a dough forms.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough gently for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
- In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy, then add onion and sauté until translucent. Add cabbage and sauté until tender, then mix in bacon and set aside to cool.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out dough into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick, cut into squares, and add a tablespoon of filling into each square.
- Fold corners of each square into center and pinch to seal.
- Place filled buns on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For healthier alternatives, consider using whole wheat flour or low-fat Greek yogurt.
