- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and slice the ripe bananas, arranging them in a greased baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, melt the butter and mix in the milk, vanilla extract, and remaining sugar until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
- Spread the batter over the arranged bananas.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden.
- Cool for 10 minutes before serving, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute butter with coconut oil and use non-dairy milk.
