  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice the ripe bananas, arranging them in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, melt the butter and mix in the milk, vanilla extract, and remaining sugar until smooth.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
  6. Spread the batter over the arranged bananas.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes before serving, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute butter with coconut oil and use non-dairy milk.
