A delicious twist on traditional jalapeno poppers, perfect for gatherings and parties.


Ingredients

  • 12 Fresh Jalapenos
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Puff Pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup Bacon Bits
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Egg, for wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lay out your puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and roll them out gently.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, garlic powder, and onion powder until well blended.
  4. Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds as desired. Chop them finely.
  5. Fold the chopped jalapenos into the cheese mixture until evenly distributed.
  6. Cut your pastry into strips approximately 1 inch wide. Place about a tablespoon of the jalapeno mixture at one end of each strip.
  7. Gently twist the pastry around the filling and seal the ends by pinching them together.
  8. Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each twist with an egg wash.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool briefly before serving with a dipping sauce.
