These Spicy Mexican Donkey Balls are a flavor-packed appetizer that combines ground beef, cheese, and spices for a delicious taste of Mexican cuisine.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 cup chopped jalapeños
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, spices, chopped jalapeños, and half of the cilantro. Mix gently.
  3. Add breadcrumbs and egg to the mixture, stirring to combine.
  4. Form the mixture into balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  5. Place the balls on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Garnish with remaining cilantro and serve with dipping sauce.

Notes

Avoid overmixing to keep the balls tender. Use parchment paper on the baking sheet to prevent sticking.
