- Fresh strawberries (or thawed frozen strawberries)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (or almond extract)
- Optional: whipped cream and fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- Evenly distribute the sliced strawberries across the bottom of the baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Spread this layer over the strawberries.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cheesecake layer.
- Melt the butter and pour it evenly over the cake mix.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
- Let the dump cake cool before serving. Add whipped cream on top if desired.
Notes
For a lower-fat option, use light cream cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
