Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Strawberry Jam or Filling
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Egg (for wash)
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out your pie crust into a 12-inch circle and fit it into a pie dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry jam, chopped fresh strawberries, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the strawberry filling into the prepared pie crust.
  5. If using a top crust, place it over the filling, crimp edges, and cut vents.
  6. Apply the egg wash over the crust.
  7. Bake the pie for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before glazing with powdered sugar and milk.

Notes

For a healthier alternative, use whole wheat flour and honey instead of granulated sugar.
