- 1/2 cup Strawberry Jam or Filling
- 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg (for wash)
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out your pie crust into a 12-inch circle and fit it into a pie dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry jam, chopped fresh strawberries, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the strawberry filling into the prepared pie crust.
- If using a top crust, place it over the filling, crimp edges, and cut vents.
- Apply the egg wash over the crust.
- Bake the pie for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
- Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before glazing with powdered sugar and milk.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, use whole wheat flour and honey instead of granulated sugar.
